Tux vs. Suit: What's the Difference?

To match the elegance of the historic mansion venue, guests are encouraged to wear formal evening attire. Tuxedos and gowns are welcome, as well as dark suits and refined cocktail dresses. No casual attire such as jeans or khakis. This is a little less formal than black tie, and pops of colors are encouraged.
